About

I'm Adam Sweet, and music is the center of my life. From the first time I picked up an instrument, I've been captivated by the way sound can tell a story, evoke emotion, and bring people together. Over the years, this passion has grown into a life of teaching, performing, composing, and building community.

I run Sweet Music, where I teach violin, mandolin, and guitar to students of all ages and backgrounds. For me, teaching isn't just about technique-it's about nurturing creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of music. Watching students find their voice, explore new sounds, and gain confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of my life.

Alongside teaching, I compose and produce original music through Sweet Songs. Each piece is an exploration-of history, place, story, or emotion. Some songs are deeply personal, while others honor traditions or communities that have inspired me. Sharing this music, whether through recordings, performances, or collaborations, is a way of connecting with others and keeping the creative spark alive.

I'm also a co-founder of Mandolin New England, a nonprofit devoted to fostering a vibrant mandolin community across the region. Through concerts, workshops, and gatherings, I help bring musicians together, creating a space for shared learning, inspiration, and connection.

Music, for me, is more than notes on a page. It's a way to explore the world, to celebrate stories and history, and to connect with others. Whether I'm teaching, composing, or performing, my goal is always the same: to inspire curiosity, creativity, and joy in myself and those around me.

This page is a reflection of that journey-a place to share my music, my teaching, and the projects that matter most to me. I hope it gives you a sense of who I am, what I love, and why I do what I do.

🎵 Connect with me: Whether you're interested in lessons, exploring my music, or joining a community of musicians, I'd love to hear from you.
